This three-hour ethics training covers the question of “how far is too far“ when it comes to therapists' expressed affection toward clients. This can come in the form of touch, affirmation, self-disclosure, and many other ways. With modern-day therapeutic models opening up more room for counselors to expose their own internal thoughts and reactions, this question becomes very important.
Join Dr. Todd Frye as he explores this question and discusses the benefits and risks of expressed affection toward 3-hour in-person. Dr. Frye will reference articles and case examples and refer to his years on the BSRB licensure board as a way of exploring the answer to ”how far is too far.”
