Steve received his Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University with an emphasis in marriage, couple, and family counseling. He is a National Certified Counselor, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Kansas, and a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor currently pursuing full licensure in Missouri. Steve primarily practices on the Missouri side of Kansas City, in the Northland area, and is a private practitioner affiliated with Tandem Counseling, LLC.
Steve has experience working with adults and adolescents living with mood disorders, anxiety, depression, relational issues, life transitions, grief, and trauma. Steve works with individuals, couples, and families.
Steve roots his practice in a person-centered approach, forming a safe and authentic therapeutic relationship. From that base, Steve serves as a guide in the exploration of deeper emotions from an experiential, attachment-based theory.
